Title: Lion DropShip - a slight modification
Post by: Ice Hellion on November 03, 2012, 02:05:19 PM: I was looking at the Lion DropShip and I wondered how a mix between the IS one and the Wolf's Dragoons one would be, ie one with 8 'Mechs and 12 Heavy Vehicles transport capacity.

A simple calculation (and probably a wrong one) tells me that you need to double the weight of the Vehicle Bay, which means 12*50 = 600 tons more, which would leave me with a 1,825.5 tons cargo bay.

Is that right?

Would this change be easy to do or would the DropShip have to go to a Shipyard?

As for the stamdard version, making the necessary changes in the bays without changing the weapons leaves you with 1736 tons according to HMAero
