I'm thinking they're an FWL design to supplement the Reiver with something that has more long-range punch. And then the Great PPC Shortage hit and the company went under, leaving a legacy of slow but brutal strafers to slowly get whittled down by the Succession Wars.

Could be revived for use against the Clans as the Awesome II

Cool and thanks, already have 4 varients made up of the Awesome fighter just to give them headache's ;) in case 3025 type tech is used for the fighters and dropships as the GM has a tendency of doing to us ;)
