I did see reference to a shipyards in Tanite space in Wars of Reaving but wouldn't that be Cloud Cobras? I bet the Burrocks have access though.

Rumiko is a mystery we are trying to solve from Carrier Dropship. On sarna.net it is listed under Crest Foundries though. I'd love some more details on Lum.

Whoops, yep Cloud Cobras for Alexandra - I was misconstruing the Burrock association with the dark cast and the Tanite tendencies.

I believe it says "on the Rumiko region" suggesting ground-based ship-building on Lum.  Unfortunately, probably not the shipyard requirements being looked for.

I did have the quote wrong, it states "at Rumiko on Lum."  The operative word there is "on" so my suspicion that it's actually on planet doesn't change.

Also Sarna's wrong or makes major assumptions with a lot of the factory produced items.  Very little of the supporting equipment that is listed is actually stated as being built at the locations sarna indicates - though in some cases it is very nearly explicit based on the equipment's name.  But as far as I'm aware nothing states that Crest Foundries at Quatre Belle makes either the carrier nor the arcadia (I actually think both of these are built on Ramora since they already had a dropship industry based there before the Ravens arrived).

I was actually wondering how they determined that Crest and Rumiko were one in the same. They usually cite their assertions and on the whole do an excellent job with distilling BattleTech facts. Still their info on shipyards for dropships or warships is limited and you know what that makes me think I have not looked up Jumpship construction stuff. More research!

So perusing 3057R again just to see if theres any fluff I may have missed. And staring me right in the face is the preface to the Clans Warship Section.

Now the Remembrance told us 100 ships were lost in the Pentagon Civil War this has been stated repeatedly in many places. But I always assumed that meant including Klondike.

I was wrong.

Interestingly enough this is the only Star League era Jumpship that I could find reference to them building.

The quote I mentioned in my last post was taken directly from the carrier section of TRO 3057R.  So it is definitely produced on Lum (Third paragraph, first sentence in the carrier entry).

When I'm posting tables here, and on the official BT site, I usually switch the font to courier - that often fixes a lot of the problems with it.

So this is where the Hell Fury changed hands from Smoke Jaguar to Cloud Cobra but also makes us remember that Recharging Stations can be used as Repair facilities. I'm thinking Clans may have larger ones than the Max 150k as stated in 3057R or it was using it for the Dropships but why rush on them when it could wait a little longer to get to the Kerensky Cluster.

Did a lot of rereading of Operation Klondike today and thought I was in trouble when it came to an Eden shipyard. Dagda was actually the location of the only Naval Shipyard which the SLDF built following the Exodus because of rich mineral deposits. It was destroyed during the Exodus Civil War but not to worry. The Eden Naval Cache was not disturbed and is located on an asteroid like moon of Eden II. It was seized relatively intact and this is what I am thinking.

The Wolves managed to claim it after the Pentagon Campaign and established a well protected shipyards there which have certain limitations. Given the location and certain technical shortcomings (thanks to the Ravens) it is anything but complete. Often having to rely on others like the Ravens for maintenance the Eden yards while old are the Wolves major shipyard.

Bradshaw and I also did a lot of research into the Field Report 2765 series just to see if it was possible if the SLDF took any of these ships with them on the Exodus. Doesn't appear to be the case but let us know if you guys have any info pointing in the other direction.
