I guess the best response to that would be:  "Autobots, transform and....yo goe!"

For the Mjolinir it would have to be Foxes

If we are reactivating older designs as well how about Mako's?

Not a bad idea a Mjolinir, 2 Foxes bringing missiles and DropShips and a pair of oversized fighters... I mean Makos

Really, as long as there is an unbroken line of people calling themselves "Clan Nova Cat," it doesn't really matter to me if they're still using Iron Wombs or not. They may be dead as a faction, but as a people they still exist. It's not uncommon in the real world, after all.

I like the Mako corvette idea.  With the Mjolnir and the Foxes, that makes for a pretty good group.

I should probably name the two Foxes after Adam and Andrew Steiner.  That leaves the Mako.  Any cool ideas for names?

What selection process do you guys use to pick dropships?  Do you use a "stable" of regular designs?  Do you like using general-purpose dropships or specialized dropships?

edit:  Also, military versus civilian models?

When it comes to escort designs I generally look at two positions 1 the DropShips fighting power 2 fighter capacity

Given a choice ill take a Leopard CV over a Leopard for example

When you move into Assault DropShip/Pocket WarShip territory I try to narrow it down to national designs ie the Free Worlds gets Merlins but they are not likely running around in Interdictors

for a larger federal military I look at Size and firepower favoring small, tough, and hard hitting.

this makes the Avenger and Claymore my prized Assault Vessels and Dropship Escorts up until the Jihad when Subcapital ships need to be taken into account (and the ROTS has the best Assault Fleet)

for Figher Carriers it depends on how many fighters you want to bring into the fold.  I prefer the Okinawa as Spherical Droppers are better in space the Aerodyne.
