awwww you removed the Capital Missile Battery... that was my favorite part of the Tharkad, set it apart in my mind.  plus nuclear ordinance

Nice although the triple HNPPCs are a waste - they were made for quad-mounts for maximum bracket fire effect. HNG are rather mass-ineffective and there is no need to be so cheap on the ammo, have at least 100 rounds/gun that way you can take those low odds shots and if you take enough of them you are going to hit something eventually. Also IS of 100 - just enough for a penetrating fighter nuke to take out the ship...
Chase armament is a bit heavy and it never hurts to have a few missiles for long range AAS as well as give the ship nuclear capability.

Fair enough mate, but will give you a 2 for 1, the original design and then also the MK II version where I took the comments and tried to tie the stuff in, and have to agree about the HNGR's the only reason I had them in the first place was due to them being part of the original design it was based off of.

yeesh now hat I added missiles I guess I should have made the bays bigger, but sometimes little flaws add character to the ship, you cna never achieve the perfect ship.

I like both versions I actually liked the Heavy Naval Gauss version too felt almost Lyran

Not sure if you need conventional and BA marines at the same time though your start date makes Nighthawks the only BA anyway

I may even use it I can see a use for it in my AU already

The reason for the Marine mix was a comprimise, even though I can say i have unlimited budgets(I Wish), i still think having a mix of both marine types would be pretty common, kind of a Blue/Gold crew thing like they do for subs in real life and even surface ships like the new LCS Liberty that the US has now. essintally the marines swap out 54 assigned to the armor and on call 24 hours a day continuous drills and even using the suit's for EVA excersices hull side, and also using the enhanced muslce poer of the suits help on board work crews doing hull fixes, the other off duty marines do on board security and while on 24 hour on call does not get as many drills, that way I dont burn them out from fatuige or at least thats the idea, as for the design, let me see if I can finagle a even more compimised version for you DC, one thing I have always like to do is design for people, my own project Beast Clan has slowed down a bit and looking to get the creative thought process going again, my cohort Calis has ytaken up a lot of the story writing so far and I am getting pissed at my self for not getting anything new write up.

Really, as long as there is an unbroken line of people calling themselves "Clan Nova Cat," it doesn't really matter to me if they're still using Iron Wombs or not. They may be dead as a faction, but as a people they still exist. It's not uncommon in the real world, after all.
