Question: how would you classify a Harrier? As a Conventional Fighter or as a VTOL?

Could you tell me why? The Cobra is a VTOL, which looks like a modern plane.

The Cobra/Karnov/Anhur/Donar are VTOLs because they can only take off vertically, even though they fly like planes. The Harrier is a VSTOL because it can take off vertically and like a normal plane down a runway or off a flight deck
