Piotrowski's Predators TOE circa Texlos
« on: April 27, 2011, 10:00:17 AM »

I just published an article summarized my current TOE as of our completion of the liberation of Texlos.  I had saved up quite a bit and sold off some salvage in an effort to expand by adding a company's worth of equipment to the Predators' TOE.  Knowing that Warlock and St. Ives were coming up, and that both planets would be brutal, I wanted to add some lighter assets that could be sacrificed for the greater good without hitting the pocketbooks up too badly.  Anyway, check out the article here: http://ourbattletech.com/2011/04/piotrowskis-predators-toe-post-texlos/ and feel free to ask me about any of my lance setups and concepts.

Did  you think about going for augmented units?

I have one augmented unit, the Stalking Death lance is 4 Vehicles, 2 'Mechs and 2 Squads of BA.  Moving forward, the Schiltrons will be attached to the Pursuit Lance fairly often as well...since they have 3 TAGs.  Additionally, with Fa Shih, you can attach those to any lance you need to, since they have magnetic clamps.  I'm a big fan of the augmented lances.  I try not and over do it too much, just because the board can start getting filled up pretty quick if everyone starts bringing 6 units and not the traditional 4.

LOL!  Well its not a function of fair, more of not enough space to have anything but cluster f*** battles if we all bring too much.  We're fairly limited to board space, so 30 units a side compacts the board even more than 24 a side.

I hope the ping-pong table for St. Ives can widen our view of the campaign a little.

Do the Fa Shih's slow stuff down when they are attached?

In our campaign the -1 MP rule is houseruled out because MadCap likes Fa Shihs Magnetic Clamps too much. ;)
