SHD-11CS Shadowhawk
RJN-200-C Raijin II
RJN-200-A Raijin II
PXH-7CS Phoenix Hawk
OSR-5W Ostroc
EMP-6M Emperor
MR-6B Cerberus
BMB-14C Bombardier
TR3 Wraith
GRN-D-03 Grand Crusader
NXS2-A Nexus II
NXS1-B Nexus
HER-5C Hermes II
DGR-3FC Dragon Fire

All of those where made after 3050.  The few old ones are actually Project Phoenix Mechs.  The list in the whole form is all newer mechs, C3i is not that old, thus any official varient mounting it must be newer.

Speaking of which...does anyone know where I can get my hands on a Cerberus mini? Couldn't find it on IWM or EBay last night. Though in EBay's defense my search was half hearted  :)

The setup fee's pretty steep just for one mini.  If you do try looking for it on eBay, I recommend including the Iron Wind code "20-625" with your search terms.

Ah...that's why I didn't see it. Thanks.

I'll recheck again tomorrow.

What I wanted to say is that once you eliminate classical/Star League designs, you don't have a really big choice.

One thing you should realize about the Word of Blake: they can use a great deal more units than any Successor State can.  Check the new Master Unit List release to see what I mean.

I've been thumbing through that.

Still, I can see where Ice is coming from. The list of canon variants or designs using C3i is pretty short. Which makes me wonder. If the WoB had access to so many designs, I wonder why we haven't seen more C3i variants? I wonder if we'll see their like in the Reckoning Book...

I mean, I can use only the accepted printed C3i variants to build a couple of Level IIs, but after that I'm reusing some of the designs again or losing the C3i...

So one or two level IIs are rocking non-C3i.  Just build them zombie syle and let move and pound as a unit.

Now there's a sneaky, dirty, totally Wobbie suggestion. Me likes.

Agreed.  If you're going to have 1 C3i Level II and 1 non-C3i Level II, go brawler style for the non-C3i exclusively.  The C3i should have 2 spotters and the rest long range fire support.  This will force your opponent into a bad spot.  Either target the spotters to stop the fire support but get punished by the brawlers.  Or focus on the brawlers, and get pot shotted to death by the long ranged C3i.  Remember to run ECM in the non-C3i lance to run ECCM to keep the network alive and kicking.

I'd probably do a mix of speed and staying power.  Primarily all energy boats (no ammo explosions).

I still think that for ComStar and the Word of Blake, combined arms is the way to go...

On the larger scale yes, but for (at least) some Level II and Level III formations the Alpha pattern is the way to go for deployments.
