BattleTech Touring the Stars: Lone Star This is the first in a new series of PDF's for the Battletech game.

Featured Title BattleTech Touring the Stars: Lone Star
by Catalyst Game Labs

SYSTEM: BattleTech

Cold, desolate, long-abandoned, and looted of any treasures centuries ago, Lone Star was once a crown jewel of the Terran Hegemony and bold achievement of terraforming.

In Touring the Stars: Lone Star, learn about Volgadon and the "Pond Cities" and their disparate and fabulous architectures. Further, discover why Lone Star was a major agriculture and manufacturing center for the Terran Hegemony... and read how the horrors of the Amaris Civil War and the First Succession War set this once-great world onto the path toward oblivion. Touring the Stars is a whistle-stop tour of the universe!

Every system and planet where mankind treads in the BattleTech universe has a story, for those with the drive to explore it. Take a tour of the stars humanity now calls home, experience awesome new worlds, immerse yourself in the local civilization, and prepare to do battle in exotic locales.

I think this will expand what we know about the worlds we fight on.

Terraforming can be reversed? I guess it all depends how you do/did it.

I liked the write up for Lone Star, it was a good take on new colonization.

I got to contribute to this series and it was a fun little project where you could take a campaign idea and build an entire world around it.

No, you start by selecting the method, then you jump in, then you start the fun...

Good read and at a good price point, if this is the bench mark for all of the new small pdf series coming out I think Catalyst is onto a winner.

If you could pick the next planet starting in the Lone Star Province of The Terran Hegemony what would be next??

I'd go Lambrecht be interesting to see how Lone Stars near neighbour has faired over the years, not sure how the series will develop but it would be kind of interesting if they kept the series going by moving to a star within 1 jump each time.

That would bore me to tears. I would rotate through the Houses and periphery states, before coming back to the Terran Hegemony.

Don't forget the book covers the worlds entire history and I should have said 'keep moving 30 LY a time in a random direction taking in all the nations in the inner sphere'.

personally I'd love to see a system along the Exodus Road or Trafalgar somewhere in between the known periphery and beyond

Really, as long as there is an unbroken line of people calling themselves "Clan Nova Cat," it doesn't really matter to me if they're still using Iron Wombs or not. They may be dead as a faction, but as a people they still exist. It's not uncommon in the real world, after all.

Well with Benet III out who knows what is next?

Personally I'd love to see something in the Kerensky Cluster.

It's nice to see these will be regular enough in releases

Benet III was an interesting take on a planet with a corporation being one of the biggest problems

I have a pretty good first offering list for ToS. My second round list is bit more extensive, but should be even better.
