The winners were the Naval Air Wings and the Oberon Guards. So this week we are of to Alpheratz and then to Oberon the following week.

Alliance Naval Air Wings

Overview
The Alliance Air Wings were renamed the Alliance Naval Air Wings when the navy requiredacquired WarShips. The Air wings have been working hard to relearn the lost arts of naval strike and defense and though dedicated to the task, have lost some of the shine they once had, as the BattleMech Corps and WarShip arms have taken up much of the military budget and most of the spotlight.

However, the Air Wings continue to patrol the Alliance, intercepting pirates, covering ground forces, and exercising with the Alliance’s WarShip squadrons. The AMC has plans to expand the Air Wings, with recent industrial expansions focused on new or imported Aerospace designs like the Shilone, Slayer, and Dante.

The Air Wings remain the single largest force of highly skilled pilots in the Inner Sphere and are sought after as trainers and advisors by many other states and numerous mercenary commands.

Condition
The 1st Naval Air Wing is one of the more experienced in the AMC, and has a long and illustrious history. The 1st is currently strung out along the long Rimward border of the recquired territories.

2nd Naval Air Wing served over Alpheratz during the campaign there, though suffered such heavy losses that it’s experience has been downgraded.

The 3rd Naval Air Wing is highly experienced in anti-DropShip work and fast interception. The third is considered to be second only to the 1st Air Wing in terms of overall skill.

The 4th Naval Air Wing saw combat over Alpheratz and was also responsible for initial flight and combat testing for the Alliance’s new Dante Aerospace Fighter.

5th Naval Air Wing also fight in the skies over Alpheratz and has since been posted to guard the important Quatre Belle in cooperation with the 2nd Naval Squadron, allowing it to become the most proficient Air Wing in naval operations.

The 6th Naval Air Wing is considered the least reliable, as they have been vocal in opposing the expansion of the BattleMech Corps and staunchly opposes any further industrial spending that is not focused on the Aerospace arm,

7th Naval Air Wing acts as the training and development wing and has the oldest equipment and least skilled pilots. That does not present any issues in dealing with pirate forces, as the 7th is still a skilled unit compared to the scum it seeks to eradicate.

1st Outworlds Alliance Naval Air Wing - Elite / Fanatical / Kent
2nd Outworlds Alliance Naval Air Wing - Regular / Reliable / Mandeville
3rd Outworlds Alliance Naval Air Wing - Veteran / Fanatical / False Dawn
4th Outworlds Alliance Naval Air Wing - Veteran / Fanatical / Vangburg
5th Outworlds Alliance Naval Air Wing - Veteran / Reliable / Quatre Belle
6th Outworlds Alliance Naval Air Wing - Regular / Questionable / Cerberus
7th Outworlds Alliance Naval Air Wing - Regular / Reliable / Alpheratz

Sorry for the delay, been crazy busy here.

The second preview from FM: Periphery is here, the Oberon Guards.

Oberon Guards

Overview
The Oberon Guards are the main BattleMech units of the OCAF. The well tested and venerable Wolverine, Warhammer, and Awesome BattleMechs in most formations are complemented by the use of the newer Wolfhound and Weasel light BattleMechs in skirmish and scouting companies, and the behemoth Matar Assault BattleMech now appearing in Assault companies throughout the Guards.

The Oberon Air Guards are the primary Aerospace Fighter formations within the Confederation. Utilizing the solid Sabre, Stingray, and Eagle Aerospace Fighters in balance, these pilots have been fully cross trained in supporting WarShip operations and ground support, as well as being experienced dogfighters in both space and atmosphere. Few Aerospace pilots in the Inner Sphere can keep up with the Air Guards when a dog fight goes into an asteroid field.

The Oberon Cavaliers round out the main task force elements, by providing Infantry and Conventional Armor support to the Guards. Ground forces consist of Von Luckners, Scorpions, Goblins, Demolishers, Partisans, and a host of APC vehicles for every condition. Also attached to this unit are Special Forces which provide mission specific support and reconnaissance.
The Guards recently incorporated enough troops from the crushed Rasalhague Kungsarme to form seven new regiments. Though nominally part of the Guards, they operate semi-independently and are seeking the liberation of their lost worlds.

Condition
The First Guards has been the long-standing premiere unit of the Oberon Confederation and led by the Grimm family. General Victor Hammond commands these combined arms regiments now that King Hendrik Grimm IV is no longer on active duty. The 1st has served with distinction in the Periphery Unification, Pirate Purification, Chainlaine Unchaining, Kirchbach Rescue, Tamar Relief, Reach of Retribution, and most recently in the Rasalhague Repatriation Campaigns. Proud to be the King’s Own unit, the 1st is filled with the most loyal and dedicated members of the OCAF. Although some other units have more experience, none can argue the vigor with which the 1st take to the field. As one of the original units of the OCAF, there is a wide variety of equipment in service in the 1st, though it is all well taken care of by the technician and services departments.

Always striving to claim more glory than the 1st, the men and women of the 2nd Guards always seem to find a way to outshine them. Led capably by the Prince Johann Grimm, the 2nd has been at the heart of every major conflict within the Coreward near Periphery and Inner Sphere. Similar to the equipment levels of the rest of the original 6 Guard Regiments, the 2nd has a wide variety of equipment, many customized to individual pilots and owners, and well taken care of due to their recent operations close to the industrial heartlands and the excellent supply and repair program of the OCAF.

As the 3rd has been involved in nearly every major action in recent times, this unit continues to be among the most experienced and battle tested. Often holding the landing zones for other regiments, the 3rd is a most stubborn defender and reluctant to give up ground. Recently stationed within the Kirchbach province, the 3rd employs new BattleMechs for testing on the front lines.

One of the most ambitious and prolific hunter/seeker units within the OCAF, the 4th helped hunt down nearly every pirate band that has threatened the Confederation, as well as the invading units from the Hanseatic League. Known for their ferocity and their ability to anticipate where their prey would run too, the 4th has been exceedingly successful striking units in transit. As the 4th has seen more combat action than many of the other Guards regiments, their BattleMechs, vehicles, and fighters are often replaced by newer units as the older ones succumb to wear and tear. Noted for their mobility and flexibility, much of the 4th is light and medium in weight with a few company level assault or heavy fire support formations.

Often placed to hold the flanks of major offensives, the 5th Guards has made their reputation via their uncanny ability to turn the flank of the enemy and never being overrun. Having fought through several hard campaigns, the 5th has had a fairly high turnover of their original units, and as such, they field a larger number of units that were salvaged from former combatants. More troublesome to maintain, these various units are in the process of being rotated out to training operations in favor of newer and freshly manufactured units.

The final initial regiment from the first founding of the Periphery Unification, the 6th has been actively involved in the all phases of conflict during the past decade, including performing admirably in the Operation RETRIBUTION against the Hanseatic League. As the 6th has not seen as much combat as some of the other original units, it still maintains a large proportion of Riflemen, Locust, and Wolverine BattleMechs. Scheduled for phasing out over the next decade, many of these BattleMechs will be re-tasked as training units.

Newly formed during the Fourth Succession war, the 7th has yet to make a proper name for itself, only serving with distinction in the Rasalhague Repatriation Campaign. Many of the Mechs used by the 7th are handed down units from the more senior regiments.

The 8th was engaged in the Pirate Purification, Reach of Retribution, and most recently in the Rasalhague Repatriation Campaigns. Fielding primarily equipment salvaged or recovered from the Hanseatic League, the 8th contains a highly flexible and diverse TO&E.

Working on their reputation as being the first to hit combat and the last to leave, the 9th has proven itself defending Rasalhague from the Draconis Combine’s treachery.

A new unit formed during the past decade, the 10th Guards takes the concept of mobility in arms to the extreme. Highly mobile units are found within this task force, and all BattleMechs are jump capable, many of the tanks are hover capable, and the fighters are among the fastest available.

Known for being able to achieve results in the most difficult situations, the quick thinking and adaptive 12th Guards can be counted on in the most adverse situations. The ability of the 12th to remain in the field far longer than would be possible otherwise is an indication of how well maintained their units are. Their Technician and support budget has often been called into question as the 12th spends per capita more on supplies and repairs than any other unit.

1st Oberon Guards - Exceptional/Fanatical / Kirchbach
2nd Oberon Guards - Veteran/Fanatical / Kufstein
3rd Oberon Guards - Veteran/Fanatical / Ferleiten
4th Oberon Guards - Veteran/Reliable / Damian

8th Oberon Guards - Regular/Reliable / Porthos

My geuss was a Sword of Light regiment...

My Draconis Guards were an amalgamation of Otomo and the Dragon's Claws with a few other of my own creations btw. Curious to see how your Dragon's Guard turns out.

Here is the teaser from FM: DCMS. The Dragon's Guards.

Dragon’s Guards

Overview
The four regiments that guard the Dragon and their heirs are now split, with all but the Dragon’s Claws following Omiko to Kessel. The abandoning of the Dragon Throne by three-quarters of the Coordinator’s personal guards has cast a long shadow on Luthien, with whispers of illegitimacy haunting the Coordinator’s palace.

The Genyosha emulate the skills and experience of Yorinaga Kurita, Gunji‐no‐ Kanrei of the DCMS in Kessel. Personnel for the new regiment were handpicked by Yorinaga from across the Combine and the unit’s skills cannot be underrated in any way, as they have demonstrated amazing battlefield abilities in multiple engagements. They began complementing the Otomo in 3026 and were considered a Guard unit since.

The Dragon’s Claws were formed by Yorinaga and Theodore Kurita, as a place to put the most hardline supporters of Takashi and keep them in one place under observation. These old school Samurai led the revolt that killed Theodore Kurita and the Otomo have sworn an oath to return one day to Luthien and destroy the Dragon’s Claws.

The Otomo have long protected the Dragon and their choice to go with Omiko was the single largest question mark that has persistently nagged at Isoroku Kurita and his rule. The Otomo remain staunchly loyal to Omiko and their determination to see the true heir reinstated is an example to all the regiments supporting the Southern Court.

The Draconis Regulars provide a single regiment drawn from the District Regulars as their pinnacle. They guarded the Imperial City, as an outer ring of defense to the Otomo and Genyosha and do the same today on Kessel.

Condition
In an effort to winnow their ranks, Theodore Kurita dispatched the Dragon’s Claws to the heaviest fighting on the Lyran front. Worlds such as Tamar and Severn saw many of the regiment fall before they finished the war securing Kandis. The regiment did not forget the lack of respect the Coordinator held it in and were the spearhead of the assault that nearly wiped out the Royal Family on Luthien. However, the escape of Omiko has left a black mark the unit was desperate to erase. They did so on Radsdadt during the Rasalhague War, where they eviscerated the 2nd Drakons before jumping forward to secure Goito.

The 1st Draconis Regulars baptism of fire was on Luthien, where they fought desperately to save the Coordinator and his family. Shamed by their failure, they have vowed to die rather than suffer another defeat.

Yorinaga Kurita’s Genyosha was first deployed to Quentin in July 3025, learning too late that the factories on world had been moved. They were dropped into Dieron to relieve the siege on that world by the AFFS and LCAF, before securing Fomalhaut in an effort to cut off the Davion advance. The regiment then spearheaded the defense of Chichibu, effectively blunting the Federated Suns advance on Algedi and led the massive assault on Kessel in the last weeks of the war. The Genyosha were instrumental in getting Omiko Kurita off Luthien and now stand guard over Kessel itself. Losses on Luthien have severely reduced the regiment experience and the Gunji-no-Kanrei is working hard to return the unit to its former proficiency.

The Otomo saw rare service off Luthien in early 3026 when they secured the vital world of Pandora after two months of heavy fighting. Their failure to save Theodore Kurita led many to request the right to commit Seppuku from Omiko Kurita. She has however barred any Otomo warrior from doing so until she is restored to the Dragon Throne.
