my first question is about the Valkyries coming out of the corean Enterprises plant. they are listed as keeping output to around 130 mechs a year of this type even during the third Succession Wars. that might be a bit high. but currently you have 36 a year. maybe fluff that they area making more repair supplies to get damaged machines back in operations.
the second question is maybe more of an idea. it seems that the AFFS is short carries and dropship escorts. they are making 18 mules a year. they are rebuilding but maybe make two or three of them a year as mule q ships. I don't think you want to retask the 18 mammoths a year into something. the 30 Unions a year would help rebuild units, but a 12 to 18 aerofigther CV would nice to have at 4 or maybe 5 a year or maybe moding one to two a year as a assault/escort gunship. the 18 Overlords would be hard to shift. all of those RCT need overlords. but one or two ever other year to a CV or gunship escort?
Third oen is about mercs. alot were let go to cut cost right? now how do you get them back? that comes into a tech level issue. if the KU has DHS by 3028?. that might be a good cookie for a sigingin bounse. (fluff wise) offer units free DHS. say a CO will get 10, a BN would get 30 and a good regt might get a block of a 100. (that would refit about ten mechs) .
feel free to fire away. this is your stroy.. i'm just a passenger in the KU
Drakensis pretty much covered it. Below is the list of AFFS mercenaries at the start of 3033, well down on the peak during the war. We chose not to include mercenaries in the Field Reports for space and sanity reasons.
Black Omen
Bolan Scouts
Camerons Legion
The Dispossesed Co-op
The Dragonslayers
Fuchida's Fusiliers
Gabhardt's Carabiniers
Harlock's Warriors
Head Hunters
Hsien Hotheads
Insect Brigade
Legion of the Rising Sun
Meriadoc's Malcontents
Sandoval's Slashers
Team Banzai
Terrible Treads
Turin Light Cavalry
Waldheim Dragoons
Wolverton's Highlanders
I might be convinced to include a deployment table in the Supplemental, or the Update.
For the industry, we worked out what was listed in canon and balanced it a little for the game. Our production numbers and therefore the replenishment rate for regiments seeing battle are pretty close to canon, so we are pretty comfortable with those. For JS and DS, we winged it, but it works OK as well from a game mechanics point of view.
We don't really model the effects of different models, unless they are WarShips, so the changes you outline would be something a player would manage through fluff and role playing, not so much via the game mechanics.
Thanks for your questions.
