Sword Of The Stars: Ground Pounders
« on: September 14, 2013, 07:55:08 PM »

A hex-based sci-fi strategy game featuring the tanks, aircraft and infantry of the Sword of the Stars universe. This is a cross platform card wargame for pc and android (possible for mac, ios, and linux devices too if it makes it stretch goals or later down the road if it doesn't).

You can play your turn and send your info to a buddy and when they get their turn done they send their info to you so you can easily handle playing the game at your convenience. Campaign, scenarios, skirmish, ai, 2 player, human, hiver and tarka armies.

If you got questions post them in their kickstarter page here-

or on their forums here-

They have a handful of videos on their kickstarter page so you can get a better look at the game under updates-

They will be answering question in comments and in video format too in the coming days so if you got a question speak up.

They switched back to Indiegogo site, they set the goal to 20k. Kickstarter made under 22k for 42k goal. So making it should be easier this time. Indigo has a option even if they get under goal they still make it. The Pit was just over half funded goal and was their fastest selling game to date so all is good.

Heya Knight. Thanks for putting a plug in the topic, we're seeing what we can do by uniting our efforts for IGG! It's going great so far =)

I thought a little 2d art might spark some interest, so here it is.
The left picture represents a firmly entrenched alien tank delivering a devastating ambush with it's Fusion Cannon, a tactic you'll be able to pull often in the actual game, if you get the tech. On the right is a Human Hover Tank in assault mode, backed by air superiority and possibly defending captured structures in the back. From my understanding, those are also all part of the game:

Like Hawawaa mentionned, many gameplay and such related questions can be answered by watching the video on IndieGoGo. It's a 20m video, so if you want you can skip ahead to 2m58s to get to the crunchy parts. The game Beta will be released once the IGG campaign is finished. Hope to see you there!

PS: Code Geass was really, really good =)
