Galactic Civilizations 2?

Anyone played it?  I'm considering getting it as I do like the genre and it looks good.  But outside input is always good. :)

One of my favorite space strategy games of all time not as great as Master of Orion I or II but very good. Didn't get any of the expansion packs but the amount of detail say in ship construction is amazing. It has been a while since I played GalCiv2 but I enjoyed it.  ;)

I've actually been playing MoO2 lately Takiro.  Might just break down and get Master of Magic instead but we shall see there.

I used to love Master of Orion back in the day.

Something I got recently that I've enjoyed alot has been Sins of a Solar Empire.

You guys see they released a Galactic Civilizations 3? Its a very early Alpha that costs a 100$! Personally I'll wait for the game to be finished to download it.

Watching some 'lets play' vids on youtube to refresh my memories of a few games.  Master of Magic may be winning now.  I spent way too many hours playing that when I was younger.  Anyone else remember the 300 odd page strategy guide for it? :)

Can't say I do. I borrowed the 3.5 floppy disks from a co worker back in the mid 90s to install it on my computer. I remember all the heroes like Mystic X pretty well. Good stuff.

That's a good champion my friend, have fun!

Do you need an emulator or something to run it? Those DOS games are tough to run with expanded memory issues and all.
