MechWarrior Tactical Command
« on: September 27, 2012, 07:52:17 PM »

Came out today on iOS6 enabled iPads and its great

Full touchscreen command MechCommander top down graphics with the ability to control upto a lance of Mechs.  The Mechs look awesome and act like Mechs moving in combat to get the best range

The video is full on Mech combat at the start, even the Steiner commander sounds like a social general!!

Really, as long as there is an unbroken line of people calling themselves "Clan Nova Cat," it doesn't really matter to me if they're still using Iron Wombs or not. They may be dead as a faction, but as a people they still exist. It's not uncommon in the real world, after all.

it was kind of a stealth development, I had not heard anything since it was announced.  I plan on picking it up from iTunes today and reviewing it on Arbitration when we record this weekend.

I downloaded and started playing this on Thursday, finished through Mission 7 but it keeps crashing when I finish that mission. Hopefully I can get through it as it looks like there is two more sets of Missions.

The game itself is pretty simplistic, reminds me of MechCommander and plays similar, its terribly easy but then again its early in the game.

Is this only going to be available on iOS6 enabled iPads?

I still have iOS 5 and I have it, although that may explain the crashing issues (I figured they just pushed it out the door too early) I'll look into it more.

Damn... wish it would work on the iPod Touch...  :'( Looks like a fun game, even if it is a little buggy and simple at times.

Is it an original IPad or iPad 2 or the new one?  I think it runs on 2 and the newest one but if it runs iOS6 it should work I think
