   Nephew of the great Federated Suns and Federated Commonwealth hero Ardan Sortek Keane Sortek joined the AFFC and ended up being used as one of the many Federated Suns warriors to be assigned to a Lyran Unit in an effort to bind the two nations together.  A great believer in the Federated Commonwealth Keane had no problems with this and happily served in the Lyran realm.  When the Federated Commonwealth was sundered by Katherine Steiner-Davion he considered returning home to the Federated Suns however a message from his uncle made him change his mind.  Arden, like Keane, belived that Victor Steiner-Davion needed allies in the Lyran Commonwealth.
   Former commander of Fifteenth and Thirty-Sixth Lyran Guards on Hesperus II.  Was officer who ordered end of Fifteenth Battle of Hesperus II, with a loss to the Lyran Alliance military, first time Lyrans had conceded they had lost Hesperus II to an enemy force although they remained on the planet.  He also fought in the Sixteenth Battle of Hesperus II after which Peter Steiner-Davion promoted him to full General and command of Hesperus II’s future defence.  Soon after this Peter became Archon of the Lyran realm and recalled Keane to Tharkad there Peter promoted him to full General of Armies.  Keane immediately ordered the rebuilding of the Royal Guards and the upgrading of all front-line regiments to RCTs in line with plans the AFFS held a process that will take decades.
   In 3070 Keane Sortek won the Martial Olympiad for the Lyran Alliance defeating the Draconis Combine representative in a one-on-one battle then stood beside his Archon seeing his leader become the new First Lord.  Although Keane had been looking forward to spending some time with his uncle, and the rest of his family, in the Federated Suns as Peter Steiner-Davion had chosen to remain there for Christmas and New Year these plans changed when the Jade Falcons invaded and Keane soon found himself fighting alongside his Archon on the embattled Lyran Alliance borders.
   During Peter’s trip to the Federated Suns in 3077 on family business Keane effectively served as Peter’s Regent during this term he planned with the leaders of Clan Wolf (in-Exile) and with the SLDF commanders on further counter attacks on the Clans before the end of the year.
   In 3091 Keane accompanied Peter and Isis Steiner to Arcturus when Tharkad City's Nuclear reactor exploded.  Keane Sortek was the person to inform Peter of the initial devastation caused by the explosion.
   Following the move to Arcturus Keane Sortek pushed forwards the rebuilding of the Arcturan Guards Brigade and the continued updating of other regiments to RCT status a process hindered by continued combat along the Clan and former-Free Worlds League borders and by delays in weapon shipping from the Isle of Skye.
   Reviewing LCAF facilities on the Clan border following heavy fighting against Clan Jade Falcon Keane Sortek fought his last battle on the world of Bountiful Harvest in 3094 as Clan Jade Falcon interupted his visit.  Taking to the field in a Hauptmann OmniMech the General of Armies initially found successes against the Jade Falcons however a star of Gryfalcon BattleMechs engaged him breaking Zellbrigen to take down the Hauptmann and the General of Armies.

31st August 3066
   On Hesperus II Leutenant-General Keane Sortek leads surviving elements of the Fifiteenth and Thirty-sixth Lyran Guard units away from the Hesperus II factories surrendering them to Free Skye.
   Surrender of the Fifteenth Battle of Hesperus II - remains on the planet occupying the planet's capital city.

8th October 3066
   Becomes aide to Peter Steiner-Davion on Hesperus II
   Begining of Sixteenth Battle of Hesperus II

28th November 3066
   Took command of Peter Steiner-Davion's right flank following the death of Adam Steiner on Hesperus II.  His actions during the battle ensure that the Lyran Alliance and mercenary forces on planet are victorious.

29th November 3066
   Promoted to rank of full General and placed in command of the Hesperus II defences by Peter Steiner-Davion.

10th October 3067
   Newly named Archon Peter Steiner-Davion promotes Keane Sortek to be his new General of Armies.
   He sets about rebuilding the First, Second and Third Royal Guard regiments and to turning Lyran regiments into RCTs.

18th October 3069
   He officially announces the Third Lyran Guards are now a full RCT on Donegal.  He announces several new designs that are entering the LCAF.

12th November 3070
   Leads Lyran Alliance to victory at the Martial Olympiad on Defiance defeating the Draconis Combine.

24th November 3070
   Witnesses Archon Peter Steiner-Davion being made First Lord of the SLDF.

11th April 3072
   Fought an honour battle for the world of Arcturus against Clan Wolf winning the battle.

26th December 3077
   Leads a combined Lyran Commonwealth, mercenary, Clan Wolf (in-Exile) and SLDF counter assault against Clan Steel Viper and Jade Falcon liberating several worlds in several weeks of fighting

12th August 3079
   Challenged the Isle of Skye Military Command over their build up of weapons and regiments.

14th June 3082
   Welcomed the First Hesperus Guard Regiment into the LCAF after being presented it by the Brewster family on Hesperus II.

28th March 3089
   He converted the remaining Alliance Guards and Alliance Jaeger Regiments into the Commonwealth Guards Brigade with plans of expanding them to Brigade in strength.

4th August 3091
   He broke the news to Archon Peter Steiner-Davion on the nuclear explosion on Tharkad at the Fyhne Family Estate on Arcturus.

2nd September 3092
   Took the brunt of Duchess Sherris unauthorized military action against the Rim Collection.  He confirmed the Archon's worse fears that Clan Fire Mandrill and the Rim Collection had launcher reprisal strikes against multiple Lyran worlds.
