Ugh. My flag in New Hampshire USA, is really having serious problems bring stuff in. Three distrubtors don't know anything about it, but one that does claims it hasn't come out in print.

I swapped to all PDF it's not as good as a book in your hands but being able to take your library with you on a pen drive or let you Pc do the searching makes up for it also cuts out needing to go to shop

Really, as long as there is an unbroken line of people calling themselves "Clan Nova Cat," it doesn't really matter to me if they're still using Iron Wombs or not. They may be dead as a faction, but as a people they still exist. It's not uncommon in the real world, after all.

I have both, plus i want support my store so i have somewhere to go and play.

Distributors are so lean on money, they won't send stuff unless it has to be large volume being sold or they won't do it.

It is becoming a nightmare trying to get hold of physical copy in the UK, the other supplier I use supposedly had all the combat manuals and the two housebooks i'm missing available but when I ordered them a few months back they couldn't actually get them in, ended up buying a load of Team Yankee stuff instead.

I'm learning to rely on ebay now rather than amazon myself. Secondary providers there seem to be a little shaky too. Amazon itself was reliable until recently but it takes them forever to get the DTF. It does suck I know but what else are we going to do?

Is this another sign of problems with Catalyst Game Labs?  The actual books were suppose to have been shipped by ship from China.  Now they MIA? Wasn't there enough of them?

While my local store still gets new books in, they've been scaling back how much shelf-space is allocated to RPGs compared to board games and miniature game. Not sure if this reflects an overall trend.

Dead tree formats from CGL tend to be available many months after the PDFs. I got 1st Succession War around the time 2nd Succession War was available by pdf.

There was some interesting production data to be mined in SW1&2. Even after SW1 the manufacturing capacity of the SS was quite substantial.

FS - 7.5 regiment equivalents / year
CC - 6.5 regiment equivalents / year
DC - 7.5 regiment equivalents / year
FWL - 6.0 regiment equivalents / year
LC - 8.5 regiment equivalents / year

I didn't catch that CJvR. Can you tell me where you mined that data from, page and book? Thanks, much appreciation!

It is not stated outright but indirectly in the OoBs listing the SS militaries in SW1 & SW2.

You get the military at the start of SWII and subtract what was left at the end of SWI nine years earlier. Divide by nine for the annual figure.

Did anyone else pick up on the 3250 note at the start of 2SW and the full page into in TRO:SW?

3250? I don't see anything like that. The introduction of 2SW is dated 3150 in my copy.

Box, top right of the page from the Loremaster to the IlKhan where he explains that the document (3150) was from a century ago.

The whole introduction in TRO:SW is from the same Loremaster (full title Star League Loremaster) to the IlKhan explaining why the current generation of mechs are based on the included designs and that the original (low tech) versions are still in use in the arenas for the entertainment of the freeborn masses.

Huh. Good catch.

My understanding is that CGL were (and may still be) considering a soft reboot moving the setting up to 3250. Whether that would be a good idea I'm not sure, it would rest in the execution.
