Liberation of Terra V 2 Question

I have a question on page 53 of this book there is a pic makes me go Hmmmmm. I see what maybe a Lee class dropship in the background. While a Black Knight , Highlander and a Katana with a troop of soldiers are guarding what ?????  What exactly is that ????????????

It could be a mobile command post of some type or a Super Heavy Vehicle like a WiGE. Just guessing though...

That'd be a Crockett not a Katana.

Given the little carts it looks like supplies are being moved and there are others in the background. Might be some kind of drop-pod used to get supplies down from orbit, although it appears to be armed.

Supply Drop Pods to would be a nice idea and explain all that cargo space on warships. If you could drop such large pods from orbit how would you reuse them?

True dat, such drop pods could have been used for colonization and mega projects as well as military supplies. The shipping containers of the 28th Century I suppose.

simple solution is that it is a pre fabricated structure that was erected by engineers to serve as a command post
