One of the scenario/unit books (I think one of the Black Widow's) had a Challenger in it, and the CGR-SB is in catalyst's MUL.

I've attached lists of all the magazine 'Mechs I could find (derived largely from the research of Highball, Jal Phoenix, Jymset, Lacasse, Longwalker, and others); I haven't gone through yet to see which ones appear in Officially Officious products.

More stat blocks here and here.

Agreed, there were some good designs in that magazine.  Now if they start mining the MFNA mags........

Anyone know if the MFNA or MFUK (or MFG) stuff ever made its way to pdf? Among other things, I'm kind of curious to know if the UK's old Clan Omni upgrades match Catalyst's.

Nice job skiltao! I'm sure MFNA and MFUK have made it into PDF form somewhere but I don't think I have any copies. Let me dig around.

So I'm looking through an old computer game (MechForce/BattleForce! Woohoo!), and I spot files for the Firestarter Omni & Blackjack Omni dated to March of 1992.

There's at least two printings of TR:3058 copyrighted after that date, but I'm not sure when the book's first printing was. Anyone know?  ???

According to Sarna.net, it was first published in September 1995.

Thanks! The Sarna article says it tied for "Best Accessory" at the 1996 Origins awards (the external link is defunct), so 1995 makes sense. ...and if I'd actually opened the book, the art on pages 5 and 7 is also signed '95.  :-[ :-[

I see three possibilities: these files could have had their dates messed with (doubtful, as nothing else seems out of order); these could be playtest files from whoever ended up putting the FS9-O and BJ-O into 3058; or the Virtual World simulator pods had already added Inner Sphere Omnis by 1992 (this seems most likely to me).

*Takes a bow* No rush. And very grateful for anything you turn up. :)

So Dragon magazine sometimes reviewed BattleTech products. I once had the good fortune to read issue 114, which previewed three (?) units from TR:3026. The Hetzer's Battle History involved a battalion of automated tanks! Obviously some editing happened before 3026 went to print; I don't recall if stat blocks changed. (I remember thinking they must've been the inspiration for the Hi-Scout Drone Carrier.)

And recently I've learned that issue 159 touched on a couple third-party designs.

I knew about the stuff in issue 114.  I think some of the fluff for the other two vehicles, Harasser and????, was slightly different from the material published in TRO:3026 as well.  Did not know about issue 159 though. Thanks!
