Over on CBT, I started a little project. Everyone gets to pick one 'Mech (one 'Mech only!) from 3050 or before (IS, Periphery, or Star League--but no Clans or Clan-tech!). Name your pilot (or be named after your screen name!) and we'll see where it goes!
The Classic BattleTech Forum Mercenary RegimentOnce we get enough 'volunteers' to join the ranks, I plan on writing a short story/novella (or perhaps even a full-length short novel!) about the Regiment as it fights against the Clan Invasion (and subsequent events, maybe).
At the moment that I post this, so far we've got 23 members on the roster--but we need more! More, I say! And since many of you folks are members over there as well . . . well, I thought I would go recruiting. The pay sucks, but the glory! Ah, the glory is forever, friends.
If you are interested, pick out a 'Mech and post over there. Join our ranks. When we get enough folks and I close the roster, we are going to hold elections for our officers--the posters will pick their officers and COs. And then I get started writing.
