A Completly unscientific poll 4: VTOLs and WiGEs
« on: February 05, 2013, 10:31:05 AM »

Allrighty, I am including WiGEs cause they are a relativly new thing.

For me the preffered IS VTOL is a tie between the Ripper and the Mantis.  the combination of speed and firepower makes them both great for controlling the battlefield, and making sure that the bad guys have someone always on them.  both make great finishers and cleanup in an active battlefield

for the Clans, who have much less to work with, I was won over by the Balac back in the Click Tech days.  all range capabilities of ATMs plus a chin gun is hard to beat.  again, all about controlling the engagement.

Really, as long as there is an unbroken line of people calling themselves "Clan Nova Cat," it doesn't really matter to me if they're still using Iron Wombs or not. They may be dead as a faction, but as a people they still exist. It's not uncommon in the real world, after all.

For the Inner Sphere: while I have a long-standing fondness for the Yellow Jacket, the Cavalry probably edges it out.

For the Clans: Donar (Recon)
