MechWarrior Online from Piranha Games Officially Announced!

I don't have the highest expectatations of this, but just in case I got over to their website and locked in my callsign:  I shall be known on that MWO as Scorpion.  I hope it is good, but we shall see.  We shall see.

Anyway, their registration is free and locks in the callsign (name) you want to go by.  So, if you have anything you really, really want to have, get there now and sign up.

It sounds like the game will essentially be World of Tanks, but with 'mechs.

Kind of dissappointed as I am not a fan of online gaming.  I like to come home after a hard day, strap on 5 CLPPL with a TC and Munchkin my rage away.  Not interested in a challenge, just want to put faces from the day to the Mechs and blast away.  Not sure that attitude is really welcome in online gaming.

 I think I can say with certainty they're not gonna care what your motivation is as long as you shoot things up

While I'm adoring the new look from the promo, I am not a fan of online or pc gaming.  But, as Recusant has stated, best to wait for more information before making any opinions.
