Well, it's historical - takes place in 3115, with some events in the early 3070s. Nothing linking it hard to the Jihad, possibly some references to the Draconis Combine, assumption that the main character is serving in the AFFS. But not historical in the sense that it changes anything, nor non-canon that it breaks any established rules (although my explanation of a neuro-helmet is different from the official version and makes, in my mind, more sense).
I will drop it in and if you guys have an issue with it, I am sure you can wave your keyboards and it will move to the correct place. At least there *is* a place for it!
