Takiro, your LCTs are not canon and are dealing with what annoys me, the lack of infantry.

Quote
the LCT was a reinforced battalion of 'Mechs, four to six battalions of combat vehicles, and an artillery company. Dedicated VTOL assets transport battle armor formations, and the large conventional infantry forces of the RCT have been reduced to those troops needed to provide engineering, security, and other support roles

Absolutely correct, they are non-canon and fantastic.  ;) I should talk to you guys about the boggle of transporting mechanized infantry. Holy cow rules changed for them! I thought I was going to have trouble figuring out what kind of transport each infantry squad or platoon would take. Now the new rules have changed the weight of Mechanized Infantry altogether. What gives?

Overall I like the LCT concept is great and makes sense given the jihads damage and the DA it also works for rading/elite units when you need a portable mixed arms force

Really, as long as there is an unbroken line of people calling themselves "Clan Nova Cat," it doesn't really matter to me if they're still using Iron Wombs or not. They may be dead as a faction, but as a people they still exist. It's not uncommon in the real world, after all.

I like Takiro's mix but I still think the canon one is lacking infantry support.

Well converting some of that infantry to Battle Armour or adding additional Battle Armour would even the feel up far more.

Considering how common BA is in the DA it seems that's exactly what happens as they go along I wouldn't be surprised if that 4 regiments of Mechanized is joined by a BA Battalion/Regiment

True and you can have more BA for the price of a mech
