I can't see why many Taurians followed Sharplen in the first place. The alliance with the Canopians is cool and the Capellans worming their way in I can see. I think that is why Jeffrey got killed cause he had reservations. But lets join the Star League?? WTF?! Never understood how that happened.

They followed Shraplen because the writers made the setting fit the story, not the other way around. The Canopian alliance wasn't just cool- it was logical, you could see traces of it going back to the 1st Periphery book. The Capellans worming their way in was also logical. Jeffrey got killed because he probably in private told Emma Centrella when Sun Tzu could stick his alliance. Joining the Star League- that should have gotten Shraplen lynched. I mean really- the TC holds grudges like no one else, except apparently in this case...

MA - thanks for the offer of help but I think I am okay on this- I actually have about 5 pages I wrote 8 years ago and notes on where I was going- my main thing right now is that I need to recheck the canon timeline and see what needs to be tweaked. If I need any help I will let you know.

What I wouldn't mind doing is getting together with you and MA so we could mesh these good ideas together.
