Thoughts on an Alternative Technology for Clans
« on: August 22, 2018, 01:05:31 PM »

Was looking through some of the newer tech that has come out in BT universe since I last played consistently in early 2000's and I like that there are new variations on Gauss technology it got me thinking what if the Clans believed that the way of the future for ballistic technology was with Gauss systems instead of the traditional Autocannons and the Ultra features route they went.

Not taking into account the multiple types of ammo that came out in canon for the Autocannon. Which i don't understand is sometimes considered advanced tech.

I played with the specifics of them thinking they were developed in Golden Century and advanced as time progressed.

Canon
Damage   Heat   Min   Range   Tons   Crit
AP Gauss   3   1      3/6/9   0.5   1
Light Gauss   8   1   3   8/17/25   12   5
Gauss   15   1   2   7/15/22   12   6
Heavy Gauss   25/20/10   2   4   6/13/20   18   11

Proposed
Damage   Heat   Min   Range   Tons   Crit
AP Gauss   3   1      3/6/9   1   1
Light Gauss   8   1   3   8/16/24   8   3
Gauss   15   1   2   7/14/21   12   5
Heavy Gauss   25   3   2   6/12/18   16   7

I got this idea also from reading some interesting threads on the main forum site about the disadvantages of AC in DHS campaigns.

Not gonna start a new thread for this but found a very old email with some old tech we had for a campaign I'd say in 2000 or so. The email was from 2001 so its that old.

Found a website that lets me convert Microsoft Works 3 files.
