New Dallas Memory Core
« on: January 20, 2012, 07:33:06 AM »

Hi I thought the New Dallas Memory core only contained Pre-Star League Designs. While reading Jihad The Final Reckoning it implied that the core has data on Royal Designs. If true why doesn't the Helm Memory Core have such information?????

It appears that the Helm Memory Core was not a complete core and lacked the advanced Royal designs (and a lot of other data).  Out of game - the writers have made a bit of retcon, allowing them to make the SLDF far more powerful then it was portrayed as being in the original TR2750.

TRue that. The original 2750 Mechs were a major disappointment overall many were underarmored, undesinked and/or undergunned. The Royal' designs give them that Wow! factor.

The Helm Core was never intended to hold 100% of the Star League's knowledge.  Neither does the New Dallas Core.  What makes the New Dallas Core special was that it belonged to Hegemony militia privy to a variety of different information, including late League era Royal equipment.

The only "complete" core would be a copy of the Prometheus Database, which hasn't been "found" yet.

Since Kerensky took a copy, and I assume all the Clans ha daccess, I was suprised that Task Force Serpent found nothing like it on Huntress.

You know there is something wrong with the FWL, when Word's spell check changes Impavido to Impetigo and Zechetinu to Secretion.

Lost during the Exodus Civil Wars perhaps?

I think Warriors of K or TR 3075 mentions that it became the basis of the Clans development.

So did Hegemony Militia's have Royal Quality or Regular Star League Defense Force Quality Equipment because of the core?????

Apparently, it was pretty good stuff. After the end of the Coup, seems like Royal equipment fell into the hands of planetary militias of former Hegemony worlds. It's one of the reasons why New Dallas was nuked off the map. The Great Houses found it easier to simply lay waste to the world rather than face its well-armed defenders.

Yeah it seems they didn't have the B***'S to fight militia. So I wonder what else is on that particular Memory Core????

Nothing?
Hyper-Advanced technology changing the universe?

Until something is published by TPTB we will simply don't know.
