Battletech Facebook
« on: June 30, 2011, 04:37:18 AM »

Hi guys i don't know if any of you already follow Battletech's facebook account but this morning they have put up 2 art previews that you might want to take a look at.

https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=2058785319513&set=o.19541048147&type=1&theater#!/photo.php?fbid=2058788439591&set=o.19541048147&type=1&theater&pid=2121917&id=1541053249

Hope these links work, looking at them i think they might both be new ProtoMech.

Look at the size of that thing  :P

And why didn't I see it? My settings must be wrong. :(

For some reason i'm thinking the first will be for the Hell's Horses and the second the Raven Alliance.

Not sure about the second, but the Horses are definitely receiving the first.  :D

Yes, I already follow their facebook account(since last sunday) and saw these.  ;D

Definitely great artwork.

And while I too think that the Svartalfa is a ProtoMech(and most likely a product of the Hell's Horses), I am not so sure about the Hobgoblin. For some rason I cannot put my finger on, I am unsure whether this is a Battle Armor or a ProtoMech.

Oh and on another note: has anyone seen this blog regarding the War of Reaving by the BattleTech Assistant Line Developer?

P.S.: Not sure if the link works

Yup. I follow B on Twitter.

I'm thinking the Hobglobin is a Proto Hess. The size comparison makes it a little large for a BA (also looks to be a bit more heavily armed - but that's not a definitive piece of evidence.)

Really, as long as there is an unbroken line of people calling themselves "Clan Nova Cat," it doesn't really matter to me if they're still using Iron Wombs or not. They may be dead as a faction, but as a people they still exist. It's not uncommon in the real world, after all.

I think Herb also mentioned that the Hobgoblin was a proto in one of his tweets as well.

You know there is something wrong with the FWL, when Word's spell check changes Impavido to Impetigo and Zechetinu to Secretion.
