So this happened...

Obviously the big news is the unseen retcon.  sure I could carry on about how this should have been done in 2003 when PP was first done, but bygones be bygones.  there is no way that this is NOT good for the IP

I am reallty looking forward to picking up my Beta IO softcover and tearing it apart.  whoever runs SSW needs to get to work on an update.

Really, as long as there is an unbroken line of people calling themselves "Clan Nova Cat," it doesn't really matter to me if they're still using Iron Wombs or not. They may be dead as a faction, but as a people they still exist. It's not uncommon in the real world, after all.

How about back in 1996 when the lawsuit was adjudicated. I've been screaming for this type of thing to happen since before 2003. I'm glad it's been done ... finally

I can't reserve the word "classic" for just those twenty-odd 'Mechs. The Hunchback and Stalker are classic 'Mech designs too, y'know?

That's a good point, JP. With this new art, there's much less reason to call these 'Mechs out as a specific group.

Glad they are finally going to retcon the missing artwork.  As has been said, this is what should have been done ages ago.  Heck, I've treated the Phoenix designs as rectons from the beginning, even if the official word was that they were "new" designs.

Also, VERY glad that IO is finally getting released.
