Artillery strike!!  Where are those damned ARROWS?

Arrows?  Here in the Inner Sphere, we have Thumpers, and we like it like that!

I'll take your thumpers and raise you an air strike

Nah I haven't seen anything new bookmark dead even a google search finds nothing

Really, as long as there is an unbroken line of people calling themselves "Clan Nova Cat," it doesn't really matter to me if they're still using Iron Wombs or not. They may be dead as a faction, but as a people they still exist. It's not uncommon in the real world, after all.

Best guess, next week something.  My personal guess, next Wednesday night/Thursday morning.

Short form, the last backup is proving a pain to restore. Too big (apparently the backup used to take 2.5 days. This may be a system issue as well as a size issue).

They're trying to get a smaller restore going.

Not necessarily. Goal is to get everything back. But at this point, issues.

Two words,

ORBITAL BOMBARDMENT

From the CIC on the bridge of an orbiting McKenna, the Captain speaks "Guns, all portside batteries engage ground targets. When the ammo is dry, then roll 180 and engage starboard batteries. I want that planet covered in dust."

I was waiting to do that :( 8)

I'll counter your orbital bombardment from a ship with no AMS with ground launched nuclear tipped capital missiles as we take this thread far off topic

The things gamers do when bored (keep it clean)

Must say I do like the additional energy here since the BT crash not that I want it to go on too long (and we're back on topic  :D)

I'd be tempted to one-up your orbital bombardment and do a crossover, bringing in a GTVA battlegroup from Freespace. Upon reflection, tho, I'm fairly certain the McKenna would win pretty decisively unless the Tevs stay at a distance and rely entirely on bombers. :p

I suspect it's a chicken-and-egg problem.  Without people coming by, there's nothing going on, so anyone who comes by doesn't feel like doing it again after the first few problems.

Getting something going with a little momentum would help because you could drive some traffic here from the main boards with a post or two.

Got to have a little fun keeps it from becoming boring

Moonsword I think you've hit the nail on the head there.  Sometimes feels like it's easier to be constructive here less complaints about nothing new more about developing ideas given that things are generally AU based on OBT

Time for my shopping-mall analogy.

The BT forums are the shopping mall; lots of different audiences, but there have to be rules & conditions that suit most people. Forums like this are more like the bar in "Cheers", 'where everybody knows your name', and which don't have to worry about more than their particular clientele.

Which makes the mods & admins on BT.com mall cops, I realise full well :)
