Ok Welcome the FNG

Greetings. I'm Joseph "Jester" Mallan. I have been a member of the boards (Heavy Metal Pro, BattleCorps & CBT) for years. I have been a Commando, and I am a member of the BattleCorps Legion Merc unit. The Stone Rhino is my hard won ride in the Legion.

I jjoined to see if I can be a valued contributor and comidic relief. Hello one and all. How you doin'?

Aye, welcome aboard Jester! If you have any problems with the downloads or anything else, please give me a holler. Siden's suggestion is the best method to starting any contributions.

OK what did I get myself into ???

Is this an RPG board or a fanfic board? can I get a sinopsys of the idea here? Oh and whats/wheres the timeline?

Welcome to the fiery inferno of SW1, hope you brought your lead underwear an sunblock-1 billion AKA 1000 standard armor points.
There is a timeline to 2785 in Project Phoenix and some sporadic info in the TRO 2800 and Mercenary Guild at:

Neither really.  While it could be used for both, most of the posting here is in regards to the fanbooks we are producing.

As for a synopsis:
Battletech: Shattered Dawn is an alternate universe beginning at the fall of the original Star League.  Instead of the old Terran Hegemony falling apart, it reorganizes into the Terran Republic and things go forward from there.

Quite right on mainline BattleTech Shattered Dawn but since we've also joined with the Star League Core I've tried to expand our horizons to include all eras and settings of our favorite universe. So basically these boards are for the development of the Shattered Dawn timeline and any other setting you can think of. Its a pretty loose ship here dedicated to BattleTech fun. Becoming a contributor for BTSD means developing ideas for fanbooks or other material for which you'll receive full credit. Sadly the pay is low but for me it isn't about that. I'd say this is more of fanfic place then an rpg site but hey bottom line it is what you make of it. Welcome again to our little corner of BattleTech.

P.S. - park your Stone Rhino somewhere were MechRat can't get at it, 100 tons of new myomers he can chomp on ;)
