That's the question. Who said anything about limited space?

Each chased the Ice Hellion, hunting it down.
All failed to match the predator's speed and grace.

Or the other option would be to split the Free Guilders among the different Clans, which would explain why both methods (going through the population of each Clan and of each planet) don't give the same results.

There plenty of populated moons and asteroids through out clan space. I just think if Tak wants to limit their domain to strana mechty it wouldn't be that high.

That is why I bring up the Belters. They are pretty much confined to the Terran system but have quite a number of folks.

I wasn't calculating this population with Takiro's limitations in mind but in the official universe.

Takiro, if you want to limit their domain to anything, just let me know and I can rework the numbers for you.

Here are some more figures based on a fixed number of Free Guilders spread among each Clan, a division of 20,000 men strong and on the percentage of Active/Reserve/Paramilitary in the world.
I think Active could be 1st Line units, Reserve Second Line units and Paramilitary Solhama/Police units.
Obviously the number of divisions is just there to illustrate their raw strength (and don't forget that in the Clans, each Warrior is a Warrior, so it would be a full fighting Division with support from the other Castes not included here).

This is another topic I have to get to when I get a chance.

How did you determine military unit strength??

How did you determine military unit strength??

I just looked at the average percentage on Earth (Wikipedia is my friend) but since I now have the table I can use a more or less militarized country as the basis metrics.

And for Divisions, as I wrote, it is purely a comparison thing to show how strong the Clans are and not a real military split (I took an average Division 20,000 people strong).
