Podcast Middle Segment Topic: Canon mech pairings
« on: May 10, 2013, 10:38:52 AM »

I dunno if this will be for the upcoming show or for the June Show, but High-Test, MrsArbiter and I wanted to experiment with this topic.

TRO 3055 gave us the suggested pairing of the Hammer and Anvil Mech, and we intend to test the holy hell out of that.  but we want to know, and need the publics help in figuring it out, what are other "Suggested" groupings from TROs.  examples I have seen are

Trebuchet and Centurion

Talon and Spector (3 Talons One Spector)

any others?

Wasp and Stinger jump out at me they've always been suggested as good together

Really, as long as there is an unbroken line of people calling themselves "Clan Nova Cat," it doesn't really matter to me if they're still using Iron Wombs or not. They may be dead as a faction, but as a people they still exist. It's not uncommon in the real world, after all.

thank you for reminding me, I will add the Deva and Grigori to that list, as they were specifically mentioned as complimenting each other.

Dervish and Valkyrie have always seemed like a logical pairing but it's not because they're complementary, it's because they're basically the same role.

Similarly the Myrmidon and the LTV-4 are a good logisitcal pairing...

The three Society 'Mechs from The Wars of Reaving (Cephalus, Pariah/Septicemia, and Osteon) are presented as intended to work in tandem.

Weren't there some references in '75 to the Hammerhands/Battleaxe working together?
