So I LOVE the age of war section of TRO 3075.  Actually I just love the mechs from the early and pre Star Leauge era.  I ALSO love the Early Clans, from Klondike through to the end of the Golden Century.

so I was thinking "Why not combine them?"  into a proof of concept 40 Warrior Cluster Miniatures project.  my only question left is which clan would be best fit this sort of aesthetic?

My thoughts are

Clan Hells Horses or Snow Ravens- both were light on Mechs at 4 stars a piece

Clan Burrock- as a subltle dig to thier Rim Worlds Roots, Nicky K could have given them "antique" equipment

Clan Widowmaker- Because Awesome, thats why.

and of course I am open to other ideas as well.  whether or not I actually do this or it is a thought on a scrap of paper remains to be seen.

I'd think none of the Clans would be given anything to disadvantage them

But at the same time Nicholas favoured Clans would have recieved better equipment

Overall though I got the impression they were all equal to begin with it was Klondlike and the Subsequent trials that defined their leanings the Snow Ravens for example lost a fair amount of Mechs in Klondlike and developed aerospace to cover that

Really, as long as there is an unbroken line of people calling themselves "Clan Nova Cat," it doesn't really matter to me if they're still using Iron Wombs or not. They may be dead as a faction, but as a people they still exist. It's not uncommon in the real world, after all.

not nessicarily, Clan Snow Raven for example sought out to be an aerospace Clan from the get go, so did Clan Cloud Cobra.

a Better Example would be Clan Burrock, who during Operation Klondike was one of the Heavier mech centric Clans (On Par with the Bears and Widowmakers, but not as top heavy as the Coyotes) but Post Klondike favored Lighter and faster machines.

I would also hold that in terms of record sheets, age of war period machines are not an inherit disadvantage.  some of those succession war tech machines are actually pretty damned nice compared to SLDF Regular mechs

I vote Widowmakers—for obvious reasons—they're full of win.

Are we voting?
