After looking for a planet, I am looking for information on the rulers of Nueva Castile ( ??? this name doesn't make any sense in Spanish) and the Umayyad Caliphate.
And when they ruled would be a bonus.

Nueva Castille would translate simply via English to me as New Castille. This meant to me that it is a spaceborne successor to the Kingdom of Castile likely settled by Spainards.

Seems to be a theme of the Coreward proto-states of the Periphery to name yourself after an ancient empire of Earth.

I'll do more research on a BattleTech basis and would be happy to chat about it with you as always. ;)

Right now, I am torn between going for something à la Cid (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/El_Cid_(film)) or something more swashbuckling (à la https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Captain_Alatriste or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/7th_Sea_(role-playing_game)) but it will have to include Reconquista 'Mechs and other Primitive things, revenge, exile, honor...
