Ship Numbers in Liberation of Terra 1

Well, did the Powers That Be learned from Reunification Wars and the strange ship numbers presented therein, or did they once again change history?  I haven't seen Liberation of Terra 1 yet, so do they include the numbers of WarShips in use by the SLDF or not?

Yes numbers and flagship names were given. Fleets were also broken down. House Navies grumble grumble...

They're a little small for Takiro's tastes MA. That's all.

The H:LoT1 does a good job of working the SLDF fleet into something digestible for its size.

Yeah, the house fleets by time of the Amaris Coup were not the grand state of affairs I think a lot of us were expecting.  I don't remember the state of the FWL Fleet in 3067, but it came close to matching their 2750 fleet in terms of numbers.  the word of blakes final fleet matched the Lyran Commonwealth in the star league era. (Exceeded by 1).  Long and short, the glory days of warships were not what we thought they where kiddies.  the SLDF had a monopoly on fleet size to the order of 36 times as large of the largest house fleet, or six and a half times to combined fleet strength of the rest of the inner sphere (Rim Worlds Republic excluded)

Kinda shows they were in charge and that they were staying there.

Begs the question though, if the SLDF had chosen to stick around at the end of the Liberation Campaign, considering how small the House fleets were could the SLDF have stuck around and held their ground?

The SLDF? Maybe, though they could rebuild next to nothing. The biggest problem at the end of the Liberation wasn't the infrastructure destruction or the damage to the SLDF. It was the brain drain. The Hegemony citizens were allowed to run rampant by Kerensky, putting anything even peripherally related to Amaris to the torch (including a lot of people, particularly those with governing experience). They spelled their own doom, because they sucked away a great deal of their political and intellectual power in a massive orgy of retribution. JHS: Terra has a great section talking about this phenomenon.

not just the brain drain, but the economic damage.  The first succession war was as much a direct result of an interdependent galactic economy collapsing, and the need for resources to rebuild.
