For now, I'm washing my hands of the official forum.  You can find me here, or at spacebattles.com trying to write fiction.

I was in the IlClan speculation thread, and posted I had a suggestion but couldn't figure a way to say it without a warning.

I'd love to post a suggestion they pay Ben Rome for his work on IlClan, instead of rewriting it, but -

I figure all that's going to happen if I go back right away is earn another warning.  No point.  All I want is IlClan to finish off my collection, then CGL can go hang.

Dude, I want them to pay Ben too. I want them to pay me, too.

But having a tantrum in someone else's house is not polite.

If CGL's antics destroy your joy in BattleTech, then it's better to move on. Alternatively, you could decide to take the smooth with the rough. Got an arsehole co-worker? Do you tell him/her in detail all her faults? Or bite it.

As always, you're an adult, you make your own choices.

Really shouldn't answer that, either.  So I won't.  But the joy is gone.

Just out of curiosity, what forum rule would be broken?

Sorry to hear that, but I respect your decision.

Meh.  Its been a long time since I even had an opponent.  Almost as long since I could find time at home to work on projects.

I just hope they get themselves organized, or they crash and burn quickly so a new company can lease or buy the IP.

I understand the lack of opponents, I do..  I honestly think my last books are in the 3070 era.. and well Unless I get a group who playing higher I will be fine.
What has kept me interested in Battletech lately has been the fanfic (Dragon Cat and others ) and other non-canon stuff (like Takiro Sohei's).

So what are you doing with your collection of Non-Canon sourcebooks?

Thanks DOC for your most recent contributions! ;)

I really have to say the great thing about BattleTech for me is its deep history and plethora of possibilities. It is truly a fertile ground for where ever your imagination takes you. I personally diverged from the 'canon universe' along time ago and love to explore alternate eras. Shattered Dawn was our great 2750 era setting and today I am working on the 3050s with the help of many different folks here including DOC_Agren.

I am more interested in Historic works personally like the 2nd Succession War and the Combat Manuals than anything from 'Dork Age'. No offense intended but it is just not my cup of tea.

Next project for me will be the Free Worlds League Civil War which I am going to post an intro for next.

So what is next for you?

The thread will probably be moved here, updated in Word for consistency, and a permanent link to the dropbox given.  I think I figured that much out about it.

Fan stuff has sustained me now for years, along with my own projects.  I'll still be interested, but ilclan (if they even bother with it) is going to be it.

I've spent the time looking into the embezzlement and reading blogs and accounts of their conduct, and it isn't impressive.  I have what I need to work on my current project, and revisiting writing fiction like 'Introspection' and another based on the WoB's attempted infiltration and sedition in my AU at spacebattles.

After the plotline advances, who knows.
