So now we have a full evaluation....
« on: September 10, 2013, 01:21:52 PM »

Obviously some in depth analysis will come in the podcast, if Knightmare can ever figure out whats wrong with the file uploading...

HOLY JESUS!  I get the distinct impression that a large quantity of the "peace tech" detractors are gonna get a slap in the face.  I don't think Clan Wolf has ever been so large!

the opening fiction was amazing, though I think it is a bit of a cop out that Stone went to Cryo...

Really, as long as there is an unbroken line of people calling themselves "Clan Nova Cat," it doesn't really matter to me if they're still using Iron Wombs or not. They may be dead as a faction, but as a people they still exist. It's not uncommon in the real world, after all.

A couple of questions I'd have about FM:3145:

One - why is there no information about the Rim Territories? Even minor Periphery planets like New St. Andrews have entries, but the Territories are left blank. (At least with the Chainelane Isles, there's the hold which the Sea Foxes have over access to and from that region. Who or what is stopping the Territories from being a known quantity?)

Two - what exactly is/was Operation DAMNATIO? There are scattered hints in the Republic section of the book, but no writeup as to exactly what this operation entailed (or who it was fought against).

And for that matter, I wonder what Project Sunlight is in aid of?

Maybe we'll have to wait until the ilClan sourcebook is published for those answers...

And as an aside, are there any spoiler tags on these boards? I was trying to use them, but to no avail...

Plenty of Wolf units are garrison Clusters without ’Mechs, so not as large as you think, and Stone's long-sleep makes sense if man says, "I'll return when I'm needed most..."

Otherwise we're delving into the realm of A.I., etc.

I can't tell you yet, however, it will be detailed in future product(s).

WORD (of Blake) is good for two things. 1. Leaving inappropriate notes on other people's work. 2. Adding fake words (of Blake) to the dictionary.

gleaming from the FM, Project Sunlight is a continuing effort to get HPGs functional.

Damnatio I thought was the scouring of Comstar... but I could be wrong there.

That seems pretty logical to me.

the big disappointments for me are that we have so many "New" means of organization out there, such as the Hell Horses Ranger Clusters, the Mixed Clusters of Clan Jade Falcon, of the Sea Foxes Aimigs, or the Clan Protectorate Military. that are not outlined in any significant way.

we had a full description of both the LCT formation and the CCAF Augmented Battalions, why not these?
