Really, as long as there is an unbroken line of people calling themselves "Clan Nova Cat," it doesn't really matter to me if they're still using Iron Wombs or not. They may be dead as a faction, but as a people they still exist. It's not uncommon in the real world, after all.

Was not calling the nova cat trainer that, was using Overseer.  Just called him a herdling master as generic term

I could do an universe explanation to further explain this training codification (another move by the ilKhan perhaps to further Clan unity?)  and the Nova Cat decision to alter their training to focus more on their mysticism.

The Horses are fairly straight forward and mostly canonical with Colt making sense as their trainee appearing in FM Crusader Clans. Their instructors being addressed as Wranglers comes from the BC story "A Living Epitaph" by Philip Lee and it does make a great deal of sense given its meaning. A Herd Cluster for a training formation also just seems right but is not from a canon source. Master Arminas referred to the Clan as a whole several times in his Quicksilver submissions which is canon enough for me. ;)

The only two Clans who have fairly similar names for their training institutions are the Wolves and Coyotes. Their canine similarity is matched by their close relationship both politically and militarily. I flipped their trainee names with Coyotes claiming Whelps and Wolves getting Pups. Packmaster is the canon term for Coyote trainers but it fits the Wolves well too. While a Pack Cluster for their training formation seems right. Perhaps both Clans do a certain amount of cross training as well which could range from personnel exchanges to sparring exercises.

I will detail other Clans a bit later.

Well going from alphabetical order lets begin with three Clans that had absolutely no canon information that I am aware of currently. So everything is made up from scratch pretty much.

So rather than go for a Blood or Spirit motif directly I tried to channel that Clan's espirit de corps for their training terms. Naming their trainees Elan plays to that theme by claiming this energetic and dashing term. A Paragon serving as their instructor is a natural figure for them to aspire to. While Pedigree Clusters speaks to their proud SLDF legacy which they continue to carry forward.

Burrock started out as a play on words for me as I wondered what the hell do we call their minors, Miners! You dig!! After that I went with a Taskmaster as their instructor whose harsh demands must be met if they are to become warriors. Naturally naming their training clusters for all those Burrow they dig works too.

With three snake Clans something had to give and so Cloud Cobra I choose to deviate from their totem motif to go after their primary aspect. As warrior monks they do fit a religious order in regards to training terms so that is what I went for. Votary under take a sacred vow as they being their instructions under the directions of a Chaplain which is a hold over from their founder. A Priory Cluster serves as their sanctuary.

How do you like these??

Further research has revealed two more canon names of which I was unaware.

Snow Raven trainers are called Warders in FM WC pg 125

Ice Hellion cadets seem to be called Whelps in FM CC pg 80-81

So I will have to change Coyote's cadets to something other than Whelps perhaps Pups which would make them identical to the Wolves??
