Something I am investigating

Cause I am always looking for new content to produce for Arbitration Studios I was considering looking into the equipment needed to make Lets Play Videos for MechAssault 1 and MechAssault 2. 

this is more investigating right now, not something I am planning on doing.  Mostly cause I would need to buy an original XBox and all of the equipment for video capture... unless someone wants to donate equipment :P

It's a cool idea, but I don't know the first thing about your tech problem.

I understand the basics of video capturing, but the tech is expensive.

I do have an original XBox, but it's old, "well-loved", and the color is a little off on the display.

Cripes, no original XBox here. I could ask my neighbor though. I dug an old Dreamcast out of his garage for Soulcalibur. He might have a Darth Vader box lying around.

thats cool guys.  the X Box is the cheap part of this investment...it is the video capture hardware and software, and video editing software that will cost a mint.  I do still have the games themselves, mostly for collections sake

so as an update to this, I was given a Video Capture Card for Christmas!  YAY!  now I just need a few things to make this idea into a reality

1) I need an original X Box

2) I need a copy of MechWarrior and MechWarrior 3050 for the SNES

3) if anyone has the playstation versions of Mechwarrior 2 that would be awesome as well.

4) another possibility, but I need to clear it with certian PTB may require Voice Acting Casting Calls from various folks, who want's to volunteer?

So do I got it at a garage sale of all things... and I am expanding the idea away from Battletech to Mecha and Robot games in general

a couple of games I know I want to do but do not have.

Front Mission Evolved (360)
Metal Warriors (SNES)
B.O.B. (SNES)
Mechwarrior 2 (PSOne)

I still need an original X Box

if anyone has any giant stompy robots games they can reccomend for the Nintnedo Consoles, X Box, Xbox 360, or PS1 and PS2 let me know.  I MAY be able to get my hands on a Sega Master System and Genesis soon.

While it is a bit more anime-style mecha, the Armored Core games should be considered.  If you haven't already.

considered, yes, but I fidn the 360 games difficult to control, they are a touch too fast paced.  I may get AC2 when I replace my PS2 again.

I think doing  Let's Play videos is a good idea. 

Kinda unrelated but a fan sourcebook for the Mechassault games might be neat.  Maybe something like the old 1st Somerset strikers sourcebook or maybe the more recent Starterbooks?
