Question about war crimes
« on: January 21, 2014, 06:44:35 PM »

I know somewhere they talk about war crimes happening on Terra during the occupation of Terra during the Amaris take over. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There were no war crimes. Only a reaction to rebels' attempts to destabilize the just and right rule of 1st Emperor Stefan Ukris Amaris.

considering that the only governing body with an interest in prosecuting any war crimes was suspended shortly after LIBERATION, and that most of the people involved were tried not by the Star Leauge but by the now VERY rogue SLDF JAG officedeclaring people guilty of war crimes was a massive waste of time that could have better been spent saving the Hegemony.

A bullet to the face would do that...

Amaris also killed the Pope. That's an old one, too, in the old House Davion source book from the 1980s. It's in the section talking about the formation of the New Avalon Catholic Church.

Not directly. A RWR mercenary unit did it, the Greenhaven Gestapo

I think that still counts as a war crime laid to his account, though.
