« on: August 16, 2012, 11:13:29 AM »

it is only a couple of hours and already I got stuff to chat about, I won't spoil to much for the Podcast tonight though.

1) you really can not appreciate just how fucking big the Omega "Mini" is until you see it up close.  yes that F Bombn was nessicary.

2) the Diorama is awesome, look for pics both here and on Scrapyard Armory.

3) there was one Jerky Jerkface Jerkerson who if I meet I am gonna beat his face in, news at 11

4) standing on the Balcony, seeing the nerds, you feel like Caligula gazing down upon the Orgy and realizing his power.

5) I feel Dirty cause I bought my first Shadowrun book

6) we got lots of cool smaller companies that might be handy to you AU Boys.

IF the story about the faction dice is true (letting one or two buyers purchase almost the entire allotment, likely for later resale), that's some really piss poor booth work on CGL's part. Those dice have generally sold very well, but you've now left a largely con-exclusive item out of the hands of much of the purchasing base. It also leaves me wondering if a particular person was working the cash register again who really shouldn't be anywhere near the cash register.

I hope it's not true.  Those dice were quite the draw.  I would have thought there would be some kind of per-person limit.

I guess we'll have to watch Ebay.

I can not blame cgl for making the sale, that is money in the bank for them. Now if rumor is true it was a rep of LOTB that bought them all, and i have heard a variety of reasons.

Most of them are bs and amount to a sub community poaching. Shame on that rep for that

I personally know at least three people who were really looking forward to getting a set.  :-X

Interstellar expeditions? ... Interesting...

I have been wondering when they were going to begin fleshing out the less well-known areas.  Think they'll go there?  That'd be a fun read.

It also leaves me wondering if a particular person was working the cash register again who really shouldn't be anywhere near the cash register.

For clarity, I should probably point out that's not meant as another dig at Loren. I had some rather ugly experiences at the last GenCon I attended (way too many years ago) with a CGL booth cashier having some very "interesting" math for figuring out change. It got pretty heated, and if it weren't for Dave Stansel-Garner being all kinds of "good people" after GenCon, I'd have been out about $100 after two days of trying to get it addressed. I've never been a fan of that particular CGL affiliated person since, but probably should have just let sleeping dogs lie. Apologies.

I'm sure you could ask anyone who's bought something from the booth.
