I am trying to understand how the planet creation rules work and I created a system and a planet with the following levels:
  • Technical sophistication: D – Lower-tech world
  • Industrial sophistication: A – Heavily industrialized
  • Raw material dependence: A – Fully self-sufficient
  • Industrial output: B – Good output
  • Agricultural dependence: B – Abundant world

If this was a modern country, which one would it be?

I would say Canada except for the low tech level or Russia except for the good industrial output and abundant agriculture.

Well I would think that you can take what ever western country for the 3 points I deleted, these 2 above will make the choice very hard, first what is lower tech? 21st century tech? then again you can pick every western country and maybe some more of the upcoming countrys like brazil and china
If not and it would be higher, then we will not find any country

Raw Material, no country on earth is self-sufficient by now, they need something from each other, in every direction so this point will be a hard one for me to make it for 1 country to pick.

Technical sophistication D is "Lower-tech world. Poor educational system; medical care equivalent to 21st-22nd century; nonexistent microelectronics industry (except possibly in isolated regions run by private concerns)."
