was being facetious. I am much happier trolling in (enforced) silence then anything else.
Naaah, I don't buy it. I'm in the same boat, had like 1k posts and was writing programs to help the IP monthly, and I'm still bitter about losing the ability to get more feedback there than my horrible blog. If I hadn't have been banned, by now I would easily have finished a mech/vehicle/building/infantry/warship/fighter/mobile structure/base/RPG/etc builder, probably revamped my interstellar mapping app, long since have had my alpha strike card maker done, and would probably be neck deep in an app to track record sheets online. Oh, and that assumes I didn't finish a 2D real time version of BT (megamek looking, but real time). That loss of feedback seriously hurt my desire to contribute, and probably my pride a bit.
I think being a moderator is a lot of working though, especially if you have various responsibilities outside of just monitoring various threads. You get treated differently as you are marked differently, and that changes a dynamic when you talk to folk. You also often end up actually *working* to help keep the forums in check.
Congrats on Knightmare for being a moderator, may it be fun and glorious for him, and hopefully not suck too bad when Disney gets a hold of the April fools PDF
