Really, as long as there is an unbroken line of people calling themselves "Clan Nova Cat," it doesn't really matter to me if they're still using Iron Wombs or not. They may be dead as a faction, but as a people they still exist. It's not uncommon in the real world, after all.

The Master Document was updated with the names of Cappelan Chancellors going back to the Star Leauge Treaty.  sadly I only have one, Sun Tzu Liao's Emperor, though I know Romano and Max were both mechwarriors and it is implied Tormax was an Aerospace Jock (possibly the Transgressor, since that made it's debut at the Battle of Lee)

It's also likely several rulers did not have mechs as they were not mechwarriors- among the candidates in the LC are Elizabeth Steiner, Marco Steiner and Giovanni Steiner.

That may be true, but the Lyran Commonwealth, Federated Suns, Draconis Combine, and Free Worlds League do have Military Service requirements for assuming the throne. so those individuals do have SOMETHING in thier background.

BattleTech products aren't Pokemon Cards. You don't have to catch, or collect them all.

WHAT NO ONE EVER TOLD ME THAT!
