The Peace that is SD
« on: October 30, 2010, 06:52:16 PM »

Having just posted over at the BT regarding a question and given my thoughts on a topic, ones I belive were reasonably valid, considering it's a fictional world with a lot of gaps, I and another poster were then attacked by one of the usual suspects.  You know the kind, knows everything (or thinks they do), cannot loose and argument and usually strikes at elements of a post that are peripheral to the main point, or obvious to someone with half a brain.  The sort of person who probably has not seen the sun in many years.

It's the one thing that bugs me about otherwise good boards.

That's why I like the peace and civility of this place, sure there is a smaller membership, but disagreements are always civil and posters respect each others views, even if disagreeing.

Be nice if more boards were like SD.

You know there is something wrong with the FWL, when Word's spell check changes Impavido to Impetigo and Zechetinu to Secretion.

I couldn't agree more. Our excellent membership (and Takiro) makes sure it stays that way ;) and with Knightmare's help I'm able to keep the undesireables out.

That is nice of you to say Blacknova. We do have a great membership and the interaction is great here. :) I'm disappointed that I haven't been able to do as much with BTSD lately. Hoping to get more posts in and work done but my silly season is approaching at work.  :-\

That is why SD is a great place to converse and pick up new info on different things. Those people that Blacknova refers too need their wetware rebooted.

Which is the only thing we can disagree on but since rugby is a civilized sport, we are quite civilized too when dealing with it.
