I'll still contribute here and there (okay, mostly here, and not so much over at that more official type place) as a commentator. And no, I don't expect most of my views to be shared by the community. It's pretty clear I'm unhappy with the setting and the product lately. Rather than spend the next decade sniping about at other fans about "back in my day...", I made my reasonings clear here, and that's really all that needed to be done. So no, I'm not entirely disappearing.
Re: openness on the internet. Due in large part to the communities that brought me into the internet, I adapted a nearly fully visible presence online a long time ago. Pretty much any place that isn't BT related (as I was known by Dread Moores), I use my full name. After getting clean, honesty became not only a good policy, but my only option to remain so. If somebody wants to track me down, a screen name isn't going to slow them down. Using my own name forces me to consider more closely what I say, and whether I'm following the Greater Internet Fuckwad method. Oh, and if somebody wants to steal my credit...well, I hope they have more luck with it than I do.
And I constantly overanalyze games. I have a weird philosophy, something I haven't found many gamers to follow. Most folks are into gaming for the escape aspect or for fun and enjoyment. While I certainly appreciate those aspects of it, gaming and creation is one of the things that quite literally helps to keep me sane and well-adjusted. As a result, I do tend to take it more seriously than I generally should.
