I just saw the latest member of our boards goes by the username Eontrinity.  That is such a cool username, leaves me seething with envy.

Makes Blacknova seem kind of pedestrian.

Never Blacknova is good I've always liked it.

Random one how did everyone get theirs?

I got mine from the Dragon Cat Omni I created for my AU also from the canon Dragoncat Cluster from Clan Nova Cat novel Path of Glory.

Really, as long as there is an unbroken line of people calling themselves "Clan Nova Cat," it doesn't really matter to me if they're still using Iron Wombs or not. They may be dead as a faction, but as a people they still exist. It's not uncommon in the real world, after all.

Should I explain where mine comes from?  ;)

I think you should, we would all be facinated to see why you would associate with Rime Stoats :)

As to Blacknova.  Once I was a Muchkin, and not just any Munchkin, but a true, card carrying member of the TC'd Pulse Boat variety. The original unit I created were called the Blacknova Dragoons, named after Wolfs Dragoons, but as the creation of a Munchkin, so much more powerful, better supplied and unstoppable.

Over time, I grew up and at the suggestion of someone, Takiro I think, they became the Blacknovas, a nasty buch of ex-Australian MechWarriors out to give thier profession a bad name.  No more clean cut good guys, instead they are a hard drinking and rather unreliable lot, skilled but prone to random acts of serious insuboridination.

So from that, Blacknova was the obvious choice.

Mine is my name. I was named after the Archangel Gabriel whose name means Strength of God. In Abrahamic religions he is linked to all three faiths. Since I am eclectic in my religious practices I find this comforting because all is equal.

Such a lack of respect  ???

The funny part is that I was (and still am) a Ghost Bear fan but I switched to speedy designs and I thought that Ice Hellion was a cool name (plus the quote from the Remembrance is really appealing to anyone who likes speed).

With Ghost Bear tendencies...

Typical froggie indecision.  :P

Mine's from an old children's television program and (incidentally) a character from Soulcalibur...although the more recent Knightmare Frames leads me to believe I've influenced Japanese culture to such an extent that I'm now a cultural demi-god.

I told you it was not really interesting.

Wrong. It is only that I want the best of both worlds :D

Froggie indecision? Never heard that they could not make their mind.

Back when I was first taking my first hesitant steps into the internet I had been reading S.M. Stirling's March Through Georgia and picked the latinised version of hi 'master race' for my email address. For reasons of consistency I've stuck with variants thereof ever since.

Could have been worse, a friend suggested I use the name of a pokemon to fit in with a group theme.

Mine is a sly reference to a phrase used in a Sherlock Holmes novel, and appropriated by some scattered drug user communities throughout the 90s (due to an offhanded comment by several figures in the grunge music community). I've used it for quite a long while now in the Battletech community (and a few other places). I'm typically either going by Dread Moores or just my full name. I'm not hard to find online, and I'm fine with that.
