Like I said, I know it was in a Battlechat transcript, but I'm not going to search for it. But since I can't find an opponent and shoting pixels doesn't satisfy my craving for moving miniatures across a board I've decided to get into Dystopian Wars. So IlClan will be it.
IlClan book?
According to the known plotline, one of the Clans conquers Terra. (Ben Rome's blog had an April Fools day outline of such a book, seemingly plausable but suspect given the timing.) Along with TRO: 3145, FM: 3145, Era Report: 3145 (and maybe another one, I forget), the IlClan sourcebook is supposed to lay the Dark Ages to rest before a time jump (hence the discussion of a 3250 setting; Herb said he liked the idea since it used the same numbers as 3025, sort of a nod to the early days of the game) with all-new material.
Since I can't play, the IlClan book ties up all sorts of loose ends from just after I started buying and playing the game. I'll still keep up, but don't think I'll buy anything unless something changes.
