Who Built What in 3025?
« on: July 20, 2013, 01:49:23 AM »

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone had a handy" who built what" list for ~3025.  Just looking for a consolidated IS list on what powers built what units in 3025 in canon.  I used to have some nice resources, but the reformat plus the lack of backups wiped all I had immediately available.  If the list is detailed, it's cool, I'm looking mostly for the actual combat vehicles/Mechs produced and numbers are arbitrary.

My original that I based the KU off died many moons ago and the current one is very KU specific now.

Somebody just posted a thread on the CGL forum a couple of days ago covering some sort of 3025 list.

Your best bet is to take MadCapellans OR 3067 and work backwards, then supplement it with material from the TRO's.  Tikonov remains a pain in the ass, due to its omission from the original OR, but I would assume a solid Earthworks set of designs and Capellan specials for that one in line with something the size of Coventry or Irian.

Honestly, TRO 3039 will cover most of that. I just built a production list, based on production up to 3075, but territory controlled as of 3025. When I did the first stage of that list, 3039 covered enough to have a solid idea.

But beware of numbers... Thanks to Fasanomics, they don't add.

Oh I get that Ice, the numbers for me are arbitrary, what I am looking for specifically is models produced within each nation.  The numbers don't need to add up as I feel, personally, that hard numbers detract from the romanticized view of the universe as a whole.  In what I am trying to get together is just simply a "what comes from where" list, in a manner of speaking.  I think in my particular little project that I am going through the idea phase with, the numbers will either be tweaked or nonexistent.

3025 period ANYTHING is notoriously inaccurate, as proven by one of our members trying to identify the mythical 5,000 banshees and where they are.  the best you wil ever be able to get ins a general idea.  the main factory worlds for sure are Luthien, Achernar, New Avalon, Tikinov, Irian, Hesperus, Coventry, and Tharkad

I disagree, by using OR and going backwards and gap filling, you get a good idea of what was produced, but not how much.

As to Tikonov, based of what was built by Earthworks and mentioned in OR67 the following could be likely:

EARTHWERKS INCORPORATED
Stinger
Griffins
Cataphract
Thunderbolts
Bombardier
Thug
Thrush
Transit
CERES METAL INDUSTRIES
Vindicator

I'm in process of tearing through the list that was posted over at the CGL boards.  It looks very good, and very complete, or as close to complete as we may get.  I think it will give me enough of what I need, and thanks guys for pointing me over there.  I am missing some of the books it references(Old materials are gone, and havent bought anything shiny for a while), but through checkin online, S7, sarna, and through the books I do have, it seems a s complete as I for sure need at this point.  Thanks again

Additionally, Aldis Industries of Terra supplies everyone with "Rolling Thunder" LRM and SRM Carriers, Demolisher Heavy Tanks, Schrek PPC Carriers, Behemoth Heavy Tanks, and unspecified BattleMech and Aerospace designs.

1Steiner book says Davion is building Dervishes, but the Davion book doesn't note which factory. (TR:3050 puts it on New Avalon.)
2Marik cannot meet demand for PPCs; damaged PPC-mechs likely to use large lasers and LRMs
3Shadow Hawk line being retooled to build Phoenix Hawks, reverted to Shadow Hawks by 3050
4Recently lost to (seemingly scrapped by) House Marik
5Marik probably shut down its BattleMaster line soon before 3025, and reopened it by 3050
6Per TR:3050
7Probably shut down by 2925 then resumed around 3025
8Commonwealth assault battalions "are well stocked with new Zeuses and Goliaths" according to the Marik book, but this is almost certainly supposed to refer to Atlases.
9May be a long-inactive line recently retooled to build Cataphracts

Davion stopped building Hornets by 3025
Kurita resumes Jenner production sometime after 3025
Steiner begins Wolfhound production in 3028
Rasalhague begins Phoenix Hawk and Archer production sometime after 3039
Kurita begins Atlas production after 3039
Steiner begins limited Banshee-S production around 3025

TR:3025 mostly doesn't disagree. It does say Archers are produced in "most" of the Successor States (presumably more than just FWL and LC), and it also says the Spider, Firestarter, Vulcan, Centurion, Trebuchet, Warhammer, Charger, Goliath and Victor are no longer built.

I haven't checked TR:3026 or Dropships and Jumpships yet, though I can if that'll be helpful.

TYVM, I am still going through things I have here on my end(been busy).  So far I am looking mainly at the CC when it comes down to produced units.  I unfortunately dont have TRO 3050 handy, though in going through TROs 3025 and 3026 the Capellan list looks fairly complete(BattleMechs anyway at the moment)

There are some questions raised via sources such as the original House Books and Objective Raids, such as what, exactly, Ceres Metals and Tao Mechworks are producing en masse to be the 2nd and 3rd largest mech suppliers in the CC.  The Ceres-Capella plant produces a LOT of Vindicators if I have my info right, but I can only find info from Tao as to it building Victors, and I didn't think they were by and large a common unit in the CCAF.  There are also a lot of 'Mechs I thought I would see that I did not.

For instance, TRO 3025 lists the CC as major users of the HBK-4G.  They love them over there in the Confed, but they don't make them anywhere.  For a nation who supposedly maintains a large number of various units in their front line forces, I would have figured 'Mechs such as the Hunchback ,Catapult, Warhammer, and Marauder to be on their lists.  They also have a large numebr of old BJ-1 BattleMechs that were taken(Nearly as many as the Fed Suns) but they sit idly and not in use, as the warriors in the CCAF absolutely despise the 'Mech.  That one I can see ,especially with it's resurgence in the hands of the Davions despite it's erroneous history as a cursed design.

Just some food for thought, currently what I have for 3025 era BattleMechs for the CC:
Code: [Select]
'Mech:                        Planet:            Company:                     Notes:
Locust LCT-1V            Ares              Bergan Industries
Stinger STG-3R           Grand Base        Earthwerks Inc
Tikinov           Earthwerks Inc               This may be speculative.
Wasp WSP-1A              Sian              Hellespont Industries
Raven RVN-1X             Sian              Hellespont Industries
Vindicator VND-1R        Capella           Ceres Metal
Tikinov           Earthwerks Inc               Conflicting sources say Ceres Metals is the only manufacturer of Vindicator.
Griffin GRF-1F           Tikinov           Earthwerks Inc               *Speculative.  Griffin produced, possibly not on Tikinov in 3025
Wolverine WVR-6R         Nanking           Kallon Industries             May have been changed to Exterminator line in 3007
Rifleman RFL-3N          Nanking           Kallon Industries
Cataphract CTF-1X        Grand Base        Earthwerks Inc
                         Tikinov           Earthwerks inc
Thunderbolt TDR-6S       Tikinov           Earthwerks Inc               May have not been being produced in 3025
Bombardier BMB-10D       Tikinov           Earthworks Inc               ^^
Thug THG 10-E            Tikinov           Earthwerks Inc               ^^
Victor VTR-9B            St Ives           HildCo Interplanetary
Styk              Tao Mechworks                Believe Tao to produce much more than Victor, no proof of what.
Exterminator EXT-4A      Nanking           Kallon Industries             May have replaced the Wolverine Line in 3007

Also, there is a general lack of what 'Mechs are produced in 3025 at the Ceres Metal plant on St Ives, but likely produces Vindicator(Rather than Earthwerks on Tikinov)
**In addition, Tao Mechworks is listed as a Davion prize, the 3rd largest 'Mech producer i nthe CC during the 4th SW.  Did the FS get Styk?  I dont remember.
If they did, then their sourcing ST Ives for their Victor production would seem off... I forget at the moment if Styk was taken, though I do believe firmly that,
due to Tao's listing as a 4th war prize, and the 3rd largest CC producer, that they made more than just Victors.  not sure of what else though, as the CCAF
I didn't think employed very many Victors despite the production.  I may have memory serving me wrongly here.
