Under the guidance of the Independent Military Forces of the Legacy of Doom, the periphery Von Strang's World has declared itself to be a new Independent World under the leadership of General Erin Von Doom.  The world has been renamed Erin, to commemorate this auspicious new beginning.

In similar news, the pirate band Anne Bonney's Blood has successfully raided the Federated Suns world of Csomad, forcing the defending garrison to flee into the hills, leaving the pirates free reign to loot and pillage the meager supplies on planet.  Representatives from the Federated Suns have not yet commented on this recent act of piracy.

Garrison forces of the Marian Hegemony world of Addhara are celebrating successfully driving off the overwhelming pirate force fielded by the Ghosts of Spartacus.  Facing odds of nearly 5:1 the defenders were able to safely protect the main population centers and supply depots.

In excess of 50 worlds were targeted by pirates in the month of January alone.  Although the constant threat of pirate activity has been ever present within the Inner Sphere, nearly every pirate band known has launched raids over the past month.  Responses from the military and governments of the Great Houses has yet to be forthcoming.

Astrokaszy. Representatives of the Faithful Sinners and the local government report that the invading forces from the Niops Association have been broken and are in full retreat. The invaders are expected to flee from the planet within days. Furthermore these representatives state that they will meet all aggressive actions against the free peoples of Astrokaszy with the full forces available.

Niops V. A great victory was achieved by the Niops defenders as they struck a  viscious blow against piracy in the region. The elite forces of the 2nd regiment assaulted Astrokaszy to great effect and are currently mopping up remaining pirate hold outs. We expect to hear of our complete and total victory within the next few weeks.

Continued raiding by pirates plague the Inner Sphere with minimal response from the Great Houses. Reports of mercenary contracts being offered for extended anti pirate operations by unknown employers have not been verified.

Lyran stocks of peacetime commodities have seen a rise in recent months however companies dealing with military arms within the Commonwealth have lost value over an equivalent timeframe.

Further information on the military operations has become available.

Marion Hegemony forces have launched a major assault upon the world of Niops VI, reports of Niops Defenders and Militia being routed and fleeing are unconfirmed at this time.  The Comstar HPG station continues operations, however access has been strictly controlled and limited.

Outworlds Alliance Military has launched a task force at the pirate haven of Antallos, the Vicious Times pirates and local militia are defending.

Oberon Confederation forces appear to be actively expanding within the core ward periphery, with Last Chance and Butte Hold both being absorbed into the Confederation.

Military forces from the Mican Majority are currently on station on Novo Franklin, which now claims to be part of the Mican Majority.

Lyran Commonwealth forces have invaded the independent world of Star's End.  The Belt Pirates military forces and local militia forces defend.

Reports from Maisons in the Lyran Commonwealth indicate the arrival of a LCAF task force just as the Pirate Band Lima's Renegades was departing from a successful raid of the planetary surface.  LCAF reports a running battle with significant damage to the pirates as they were chased from the system.

Raiding across the Inner Sphere continues, with pirate bands now being joined by Great House Military forces actively raiding their neighbors.
